Company Background:

Apex Coating LLC provides surface preparation and coating application for industrial assets including but not limited to ships, bridges, tanks, and other structures.

Job Description:

Collecting & analyze all pertinent documents including project specification, technical data sheets, technical drawings, and applicable published standards
Liaising with the client and the asset owner for any clarification or additional information required to accurately bid the work
Studying documentation, meeting with clients, visiting job site facilities, attending ship checks to fully understand the scope of work
Liaising with various vendors to obtain material and equipment pricing and to negotiate better pricing
Outlining the work plan to gauge how much time will be needed to complete each development.
Performing risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan.
Perform estimated vs actual labor and material costs per project at completion
Drafting proposals that detail envisaged materials, costs, and time frames.

Requirements:

Degree in mechanical engineering, architecture, or similar
Qualification in project management is highly advantageous
Demonstrable experience as a construction estimator
Knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical documents
Exceptional quantitative skills
Outstanding research and proposal writing skills
Ability to negotiate with seasoned Sales personnel
Dependable, conscientious, and well-spoken

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $84,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
