I hired a Korean roofing company to re-roof my property 3.5 years ago. At the time, they gave me a 10-year warranty on the roof, and I paid over $25k for the job. I have all the receipts and written warranty. We had several issues with the roof which they have never fixed (I sent letters several times, but no responses), but now we have major leacks in multiple places. I called him and serach for the company, and they closed down the business and their license. I called the owner, and the the owner has the same mobile phone number as before, So I told him to repair the leacks, and he refuses to do that.
I found out that the same owner is operating the roofing business under a different name at the same place. I searched for the license number, but he is using someone else license number.
I asked other roofing company to do the repair, and they said it will cost me $2000 since the roof was not done properly at the first place.
In this case, is there any way I can get the Korean roofer to repair the roof under warranty? I want to sue him, but I think the lawyer cost will be more. Also, what else can I do to claim my loss agiant this guy. I can disclose the name of the company if you need them.
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. Sorry, I can not write in Korean with my compuetr.

If he filed the Chapter 11 and was discharged, warranty no longer has validity but otherwise, you may file a small claim against him and the current company he operates. Visit your local Superior Court and file along with copies of letters you sent.
Also send a copy of the estimate($2,000) to fix the leak. Fees are about $30-50.
Good Luck !!
