US Coastguard technician Daniel Dill died when he was struck by a DUI driver on Interstate 264 in Virginia


Daniel Dill was driving to collect his wife Natalie (pictured) and her friends who were out in a bar celebrating her 27th birthday when he was struck by Melissa Hancock's car 


Dill (pictured) was described as kind, loving and compassionate by family members in court
